See the profile as a new visitor
A profile brings several small signals together: an introduction, selected work, a photograph, and a next step. A new visitor should be able to understand their relationship without piecing together clues. Review the page in that order and ask what someone unfamiliar with your work would reasonably conclude.
Compare the introduction with the examples beneath it. If you describe one kind of work while featuring unrelated projects, the visitor has to decide which signal is current. Select an example that supports the message and make its relevance explicit. A short description can explain what you contributed and why the project belongs there.
Make the next step natural
Offer a next step that follows from what the visitor has just learned. They might explore a project, read a useful article, or get in touch about a similar situation. Keep the choice easy to find and describe what it leads to. An understandable destination reduces the effort of continuing.
Update details that represent work you no longer want to emphasise. A profile can remain truthful while changing its focus as your direction evolves. Reviewing the connection between message, proof, and next step gives you a practical way to make the page coherent without rebuilding it whenever your interests change.
